Oh, SNAP! Homesnap Pro App Released, Agents Rejoice!

You may have noticed real estate agents in the “DMV” (DC, Maryland, Virginia) region walking around recently with wider smiles than usual.  This could be due to the fact that it was announced just last week that the popular Homesnap app will be offered to real estate agents in the DMV region who are part of Metropolitan Regional Information Systems (MRIS).  MRIS will be the first Multiple Listing Service, or MLS, to have access to the professional, upgraded version of Homesnap.  Why Homesnap?

The Homesnap app is renowned for having the capability for any user to stand in front of a home with a smartphone or tablet, snap a picture of the home, and have the app tell them everything about the home (and its neighbors).  Now that app has been upgraded for real estate agent use.  Homesnap Pro is an agent-only version, giving users access to real-time information from MRIS, with built-in communication abilities.  In their press release, Homesnap explained, “Now, agents and consumers can use the same platform to seamlessly share real estate information and communicate directly.”  It doesn’t stop there, however.  Homesnap Pro also gives real estate agents detailed information about listings, including agent remarks and comprehensive agent portfolios.  Homesnap Pro also offers the opportunity for real estate agents to create a CMA (Comparative Market Analysis) instantly through the app.

Especially excited about the news are the three local real estate agencies – McEnearney Associates, TTR Sotheby’s International Realty and CENTURY 21 Redwood Realty – who have been demoing the beta version of Homesnap Pro, and now have access to special branding and enhanced Homesnap Pro versions for their agents.

“Homesnap Pro is a game-changer in that it packs everything an agent could ever possibly need to show houses, evaluate the market, and service their clients into one insanely beautiful, incredibly intuitive app. As soon as I saw it, I knew that I wanted it on every single one of my agents’ phones,” said Edward Berenbaum, President of Century 21 Redwood Realty

Are you a real estate agent in the DMV?  Are you going to download Homesnap Pro when MRIS releases it later this month?
